The only thing that sort of upsets me about them is that they aren't equal opportunity always, Fatal Frame actually has a pretty sizable female fanbase, I wouldn't think anything of it what-so-ever if they gave the male characters sexualized costumes too.īut there is a story point in Fatal Frame 5 that makes the costume unlocks kind of weird, but I also understand if that makes any sense? While I'm not -personally- bothered by the loss of bikini costumes as I prefer the Nintendo-themed costumes for my taste, I think there is more here to feel on the issue and I'm not big on the reason on why they would censor them. I enjoy seeing characters wear silly stuff in serious games as an unlockable, I'm not going to lie.īut I'm also indifferent towards sexualized costumes, they don't offend me and I understand there's a market for them, like or dislike it.

The Nintendo costumes are closer to that, so I'm happy. Things like the Frog suit in Haunting Ground, Sailor Chris in Resident Evil Revelations, or dumb things like the pumpkin head accessory in Fatal Frame 2 Xbox, are what I prefer for unlockable costumes. I almost always prefer silly unlockable outfits to sexualized ones.
